Mireille Vanasse

Lawyer

Biography

Mireille Vanasse is a lawyer who holds a bachelor of law degree obtained in 1981 and has been a member of the Tableau de l’Ordre since 1982. She joined the firm in 2020 after having spent 37 years in private practice, specializing in general civil litigation and family law.

Me Vanasse has a human vision of the law, which means that she works together with her clients, much like a coach who leads her team to victory. Naturally, this can only exist if she first establishes a solid relationship of trust with those she represents. Even if she proves to be a formidable litigant in court, it is her modern vision of justice that pushes her to resolve disputes amicably before filing for litigation.

An expert in matters dealing with spousal or child support, child custody, and division of property between spouses or common-law partners, she has also developed over the course of her career a parallel expertise in the adoption of minor or adult children and has handled numerous civil cases involving latent defects and estates.

A true outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys a number of sports that have taken her all over the world. In addition to holding a Level 2 Ski Instructor certification from the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance, she is said to be a tireless cyclist and hiker.
