Geneviève Lavoie

Me Geneviève Lavoie holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in notarial law from Université de Sherbrooke. A member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec since 2018, she is accredited to proceed with the homologation of mandates and the opening of protective supervision plans for persons of full age and also to act as an identity verification agent (IVA) with the Register of Personal and Movable Real Rights.

Me Lavoie joined the Brunet and Associates team in June 2021 after having worked in private practice for three years with a Magog law firm. She has a strong interest in all matters related to social justice. This inclination for the human side of her practice characterizes all relations with her clients, with whom she willingly plays a close role. She also acts as a legal advisor to clients during estate settlements and real estate transactions.

Her big heart and attentive listening skills make her a valuable ally when it comes to dealing with matters relating to protective powers of attorney, wills, adoption, and other non-contentious matters.

In her free time, she takes long walks with her significant other and enjoys meeting with friends around a good meal, where she appreciates animated discussions. Being a party girl, it often happens that during these evenings, they sing the greatest hits of Quebec. In love with the city, it is also as a true epicurean that she is discovering the thousand and one attractions that Montreal has to offer!
